Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that inspite of payment of Rs.12,00,000/- out of the sum of Rs. 20,00,000/- demanded by the private respondents the property has not been transferred in his favour. Petitioner is ready and willing to pay the rest of the amount being Rs.8,00,000/- but the private respondent has fled away from the premises. Petitioner has no other option except to inform the police authorities. Police authorities on receipt of the information registered Tarakeswar Police Station case no. 76/24 dated 13.03.2024.
Petitioner's present grievance is that police authorities have not taken any coercive steps including arresting of the private respondents.
Learned advocate for the State is present and submits that notices have been issued repeatedly and steps are being taken by the police authorities. However, till date the accused could not be traced.
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that in view of the attitude of the police authorities the accused is taking advantage.
Be that as it may, I direct that the police authorities would put in efforts and exhaust the provisions under the law, thereby taking the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No stones be kept unturned by the police authorities so that the accused may take advantage of the provisions of law.
With the aforesaid observations WPA 16515 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
