The petitioners pray for a direction upon the Registering Authority to take necessary consequential steps in line with the direction passed by the learned Court on 19th April, 2006 in Suit/Case No. T.S. 96 of 2000 (Debashis Majumder -Vs- Biswajit Majumder, Sila Pal, Debabrata Majumder & Kalpana Sarkar).

The learned Court was pleased to declare the deed of gift dated 13th April, 1999 as invalid and null and void. The Court declared that Biswajit Majumder did not acquire any right, title and interest in respect of the suit property by virtue of the said deed of gift. 3.
The petitioners submit that the Registering Authority ought to make necessary entries in its records so that certified copy of the said deed may
not be used by third parties to take advantage of the same.

The instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the concerned Registrar to take necessary consequential steps strictly in line with the order passed by the Hon'ble Civil Judge cancelling the deed of gift.

None should be allowed to take any benefit of the deed of gift which stood cancelled by the learned Court.

Steps shall be taken at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Instruction forwarded by the ADSR, Cossipore Dum Dum dated 8th July, 2025 be retained with the records.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
