The petitioners are contesting and/or participating in the forthcoming Panchayat Elections.

It is ordered that no coercive measures shall be taken against any of the petitioners by the State Police in respect of any new FIRs that may be registered against them until 15th July, 2023. The petitioners shall be free to campaign in the forthcoming elections and shall conduct themselves in an orderly and civilized manner. 3.

In the event there is any FIR or any serious offences registered against the petitioners, the State may approach this Court to take coercive measures against the petitioners upon due notice to them.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
