The grievance raised by the petitioners is that the wetland at Berhampore is being destroyed by the respondents by dumping garbage and raising construction thereon.
When the matter is taken up, learned counsel for the petitioners has referred to the representation dated 29.11.2021 addressed to the respondent no.5 i.e. District Magistrate, Murshidabad and has submitted that the grievance raised by the petitioners in the said representation be considered by the respondent no.5. Learned counsel for the State fairly submits that
there is no objection in considering the petitioners' representation within a time bound period.
Hence, we dispose of the present petition directing the respondent no.5 to duly consider the petitioners' representation dated 29.11.2021 and take an appropriate decision in accordance with law after giving an opportunity of hearing all the concerned parties including the petitioner's representative as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
