Statements of witnesses prima facie disclose involvement of the petitioner in assaulting the deceased. He has also been identified in course of T.I. Parade by one of the eye witnesses.

In view of the aforesaid materials on record and the gravity of offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected. (Joymalya Bagchi, J.) (Bivas Pattanayak, J.)
