Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that, the husband of the de-facto complainant was living at the paternal home of the de-facto complainant. The police complaint was lodged as against the petitioners due to property disputes. The de-facto complainant is not proceeding against her husband.

Learned advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the injury report of the victim and to the statement recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Cr.P.C.).

The injury report suggests acid attack.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioners therein, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

Accordingly, prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected and the application being CRM (A) 3474 of 2022 is dismissed.
