Heard the learned Advocates appearing for the parties. Report is placed on record. It appears from the report Aadhaar Card relied upon by the petitioner is not a genuine one.

This is, however, disputed by the petitioner. Be that as it may, in view of Section 9 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016 (Targeted Delivery of Financial and other Subsidies Benefits Services), the Aadhaar Card is not a proof of citizenship.

In view of the nature of allegations and in the light of the aforesaid report, we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
