Mr. Anirban Chakraborty ... For the petitioner. Ms. Tuli Sinha ... For the State respondents. The petitioner was an Assistant Teacher of a High School and was superannuated on May 31, 2020. The Pension Payment Order was issued in favour of the petitioner on August 12, 2020, in pursuance whereof he received the arrear pension and all retiral benefits on September 14, 2020.

The petitioner is praying interest on the arrear amount of pension and gratuity alleging delay in payment of the said amount.

There is no such delay as such so as to attract interest on the arrear pension and other retiral benefits, as such the petitioner is not entitled to the order as prayed for.

W.P.A. 16034 of 2022 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
