1. The petitioner challenged the inaction of District Primary School Council, Paschim Medinipur denying "A" category pay scale to the petitioner from the last date of examination i.e. 16th March, 2019.

2. It is now well settled that a person is deemed to have been qualified from the last date of examination in the event they succeed the same.

3. In those circumstances, this Court directs that the petitioner shall be granted "A" category pay scale after the last date of examination, i.e. 17th March, 2019.

4. Let the arrears be paid to the petitioner within a period of two months from date.

5. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
