The present writ petition was preferred as the information which was furnished on or about 06.06.2024 to Goghat Police Station, no steps have been taken. Records reflect that Goghat PS Case No. 267/24 dated 06.06.2024 was registered for investigation under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code as well as the Information Technology Act.

Petitioner additionally prayed for transfer of the proceedings/investigation.

Having considered that the case was instituted on June, 2024 and this Court has not been apprised regarding the present stage of the investigation, I am of the view if the petitioner is aggrieved regarding the outcome of the investigation, petitioner would approach the jurisdictional Magistrate in seisin of the issue so that appropriate

orders can be passed in respect of the grievance relating to investigation, considering that substantial time has passed since the investigation commenced. Mr. Ahmed, learned advocate appears for the State.

Having considered the directions passed above, I am of the opinion further pendency of the writ petition is unwarranted.

Accordingly, WPA 16623 of is disposed of.
