The petitioners are working as primary teachers in their respective schools situated in two different districts. Petitioner no.1 is working in a primary school in Bankura whereas petitioner no.2 is working in a school in Howrah.

It is submitted that both the petitioners are confirmed primary teachers and they have made applied for mutual transfer.

The grievance of the petitioners is that although the application is pending before the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education being respondent no.4, no decision has been taken till date.

The District Primary School Council, Bankura and District Primary School Council, Howrah are represented by learned advocates.

West Bengal Board of Primary Education and State respondents are represented by learned advocates.

Upon consideration of the submissions made on behalf of the parties it appears that mutual transfer application through Utsashree Portal by the petitioners are pending before the respondent no.4.

Hence, respondent no.4 is directed to take a decision on the mutual transfer application of the petitioners, in accordance with law, within six weeks from the date of communication of this order and the decision shall be communicated to the parties within a fortnight thereafter.

The Writ petition being WPA 15441 of 2025 is accordingly disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed to have been denied.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
