AND In the matter of:- Babujan Ansari ... petitioner Ms. Sudeshna Das ...for the petitioner The present revisional application was preferred against the order dated 26.03.2012, passed by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Purulia, in Misc.Case No.125 of 2003, where in an application under Section 125 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petitioner was directed to pay Rs.1000/- per month. Having regard to the quantum of maintenance of Rs.1000/-, which was granted in favour of the wife, I am of the view that the quantum is a meagre amount, considering the present cost index as well as expenditure required for an individual to survive. Having regard to the same, thus no interference is called for. Accordingly, C.R.R.2242 of 2012 is disposed of. Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of. Interim order, if any, is hereby vacated.

The opposite party/wife will be at liberty to recover the arrears by taking out an appropriate application before the learned Magistrate.
