The CID has completed the investigation and has filed a final report being Kotwali PS FRMF No.706 of 2019 dated December 31, 2019 before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Paschim Medinipur. It appears from the final report that the FIR was started on a mistake of fact and the incident did not occur.
The documents which have been filed before this Court, shall be handed over to the learned Advocate-on-record for the petitioners immediately, so that the petitioners can take appropriate steps before the learned Magistrate by filing a protest petition. If such protest petition is filed, the learned Magistrate shall dispose of the same expeditiously and in accordance with law.
The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.
There will be no order as to costs.
All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
