Mr. Saurav Chaudhuri ......For the State In compliance with the order dated 01.08.23, the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education), South 24 Pgs. has filed a report wherefrom it appears that presently teacher-student ratio is 1:22 as there are 88 students and four teachers. Therefore, if the petitioner is transferred, then the ratio would be nearly 30:1.

Therefore I direct the concerned District Inspector of Schools to consider the prayer of the petitioner. The school will have appropriate number of teachers considering the students strength even after the petitioner is transferred. Whether the petitioner can be transferred to another school that would be decided considering the medical report obtained by the petitioner from the Chief Medical Officer of Health. The decision of the D. I. is to be taken by two weeks from the date of communication of this

order and the decision is to be intimated to the petitioner and to the school.

The petitioner shall have the liberty to file one representation before the District Inspector of Schools immediately indicating the names of the schools where he wants to be transferred and the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education) shall consider the said representation of the petitioner and such consideration is to be reflected in his order passed for transfer of the petitioner.

With this observation and direction the writ petition is disposed of.
