None appears for the petitioner at the time of call. The petitioner is a retired employee of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. He alleges that his terminal benefits are yet to be disbursed.

Learned counsel representing the Kolkata Municipal Corporation has produced a report signed by the License Officer, Deputy License Officer, and Assistant License Officer of the License Department, Borough XII, K.M.C. mentioning that the G.P.F. amounting to Rs. 3,48,483.00 and G.I. amounting to Rs. 5,545.00 has already been disbursed in favour of the petitioner. The pension file is being processed and as there are some objections raised by the Pension Cell. The same will be sent to the Pension Cell at the earliest.

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation is directed to take immediate steps for releasing of the balance amount of the pension and pensionary benefits in favour of the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest but

positively within a period of sixty days from the date of communication of this order.

The instant writ petition stands disposed of. Copy of the report filed by the License Officer be retained with the records.

There will be however no order as to costs.

Urgent certified photostat copy of this order, if applied for, shall be given to the parties as expeditiously as possible on compliance of all necessary formalities. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
