Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that a female cat which is in custody of the private respondent no.4 is being ill-treated and proper care has not been taken, thereby inflicting cruelty to such pet. To that effect, information was furnished before the police authorities. However, the police authorities on enquiry received a declaration from the respondent no.4 that he had shared the videos and pictures which show that the cat is healthy and getting proper nutrition and has also assured to take proper care of the cat and is not ready to hand over the cat to any organization.

Having considered that the police authorities are well aware regarding the subject matter of

dispute, in case the petitioner has materials in its custody to establish that there has been cruelty inflicted upon the pet which is a female cat having one blue eye and another yellow eye would take steps before the jurisdictional court having determination by invoking the relevant provisions of law. In case such an application is filed, learned Magistrate would assess and ascertain regarding the genuinity of the accusations and thereafter pass necessary directions as he deems fit and proper.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 15700 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
