Petitioners have preferred an application for expeditious disposal of NDPS Case No.39 of 2019 arising out of Kaliganj Police Station Case No.149 of 2019 dated 20th March, 2019 under Section 21 (c)/29 of the NDPS Act pending before the learned Judge, Special Court under NDPS Act, Nadia, at Krishnagar.

Mr. Palash Ch. Majhi, learned advocate, appears on behalf of the State. His appearance may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

The stage at which the petitioners approached this Court, evidence was in progress and the order dated 29.06.2022 reflects that the examination of the PW 5 was over.

Having regard to the progress of the case, I direct that in case the trial till date has not been concluded, steps be taken by the learned trial court to expedite the proceedings and conclude the same within a reasonable period of time.

With the aforesaid observations, CRR 2584 of 2022 is disposed of.

Pending application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
