The petitioner prays for a direction upon the Additional District Mission Director (DMMU) and Project Director, District Rural Development Cell, Murshidabad Zilla Parishad, i.e., the respondent no. 5 herein, to take steps for issuance of an engagement letter. Allegation is that having been selected in a recruitment process for being appointed as a consumer service provider under Bhabta - I Gram Panchayat, the engagement letter has not yet been issued.

Whether there was any selection process for the post and whether the petitioner was selected and was found eligible under the National Rural Livelihood Mission for engagement to the said post, are not available on record.

Under such circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the respondent no.

5, to treat the writ petition as a representation and pass necessary orders in accordance with law. The petitioner and the concerned gram panchayat and any other interested party involved with the said selection process or for implementation of the livelihood mission, shall be heard. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to all concerned.

The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

A copy of the writ petition along with a server copy of this order be served upon the respondent no. 5, for necessary compliance of this order.

This order shall not be construed as an opinion on the eligibility of the petitioner.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there will be no order as to costs.

All the parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
