Leave is granted to the learned advocate for the petitioners to correct the cause title, here and now. The only grievance of the petitioners who are the members of Chandpur Samabay Krishi Unnayan Samity Ltd. (hereinafter referred as 'the said cooperative society'), is that although the life of the board of directors of the said cooperative society expired on June 2, 2019, the respondents have not taken any steps for holding the election.

Having heard Mr. Nayak, learned advocate for the Election Commission and Mr. Roy, learned

advocates for the State respectively, the writ petition is disposed of, with a direction upon the respondents to ensure that the process of election of the said cooperative society is initiated forthwith, upon receipt of a server copy of this order. The entire process of election shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are to act on the server copy of this order.
