This is an application for a direction upon the trial Court for expeditious disposal of NDPS Case No. 61 of 2018 pending before the learned Judge, Special Court (under NDPS Act), Alipore. It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the petitioner was arrested on 28th June, 2018. Police submitted charge sheet on 13th December, 2019 and thereafter chemical repot has been filed on 6th March, 2019. On 23rd November, 2021 charge was framed

against the accused persons. During this period out of nine charge sheeted witnesses four witnesses have already been examined. The learned advocate for the petitioner has prayed for a direction upon the trial Court for expeditious disposal of the above mentioned case after examining the remaining witnesses.

Having heard the learned advocate for the petitioner the instant revision is disposed of directing the learned trial Judge to take expeditious step to conclude examination of witnesses within next six months from the date of communication of this order. The instant revision is, thus, disposed of with the above order. The petitioner is at liberty to act on the server copy of this order.
