The writ petitioners complain of alleged inaction on the part of the Noapara Police Station in respect of a complaint lodged against the daughter/respondent no.

and son-inlaw/respondent no. 6.

It appears from the records that Noapara Police has registered FIR and investigation is on. The respondent nos. 5 and 6 have surrendered and are on bail. Likewise, the private respondents are stated to have filed a complaint against the petitioners and her younger daughter and investigation is on.

It is submitted that an application has been filed by the older daughter against the petitioners. Criminal proceedings shall continue in accordance with law. The parties shall maintain peace

and shall not interact with each other. In the event, Noapara Police Station receives any further complaint from either of the parties, coercive steps may be taken against both of them.

It is submitted that the petitioner has filed an application under Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 being Case No. 8036 of 2021 before the learned Maintenance Tribunal at Barrackpore.

The concerned S. D. O. is directed to dispose of the same in accordance with law after notice to all parties preferably within a period of four months from the date of communication of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
