Banerjee) Mr. Sandip Ray ... for the petitioners This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the defendant no. 1 praying for a direction upon the learned Civil Judge (Sr. Division), 7th Court at Alipore to dispose of Title Suit No. 1098 of 2018 expeditiously.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the suit is pending from the year 2018 and no effective steps have been taken by the learned trial judge for disposing of the suit expeditiously. From the order sheets appended to this application this court finds that the hearing had to be adjourned on the ground of resolution being taken by the local Bar Association on 21.07.2020, 17.12.2020, 25.02.2021, 22.04.2021, 18.06.2021, 30.06.2023, 18.06.2024, 17.12.2024 and on 21.02.2024.

Since the parties chose not to participate in the hearing on the aforesaid dates, this court is not

inclined to pass any direction for expeditious hearing in this matter at this stage.

With the above observation, CO 2511 of 2025 stands disposed of.
