The grievance of the petitioner is that the electric connection taken by the private respondents has occasioned an electric wire to be taken through the petitioner's premises, precariously close to the roof-top, thereby creating serious hazard to the petitioner. Despite service, none appears on behalf of the private respondent, although the petitioner and the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (in short 'WBSEDCL') are represented through counsel in court today.

Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today be kept on record.

Learned counsel for the WBSEDCL, in his usual fairness, submits that steps have already been taken by the said authority for removing the electric wire-inquestion in order to obviate the hazard to the petitioner's premises.

In such view of the matter, WPA No. 16984 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the respondent nos. 1 and 2 to complete the entire process of removal of the dangerous electric wire from over the roof of the petitioner's premises as expeditiously as possible, positively within November 18, 2021.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
