Affidavit-of-service filed by the petitioner be kept with the record.

Petitioner is aggrieved of the fact that in spite of informing the police authorities, no action has been taken against the private respondents. To that effect, petitioner refers to the information which was sent to the Inspector-in-Charge, Contai Police Station on or about 11.06.2024.

Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that on the basis of complaint of the petitioner, Contai P.S. Case No.463 of 2024 dated 20.07.2024 was registered for investigation under the

relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code as well as the Maintenance of Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.

Learned advocate for the private respondent nos.4 and 5 submits that the petitioner has been implicated as an accused in connection with Contai Women P.S. Case No.22 of 2024 dated 01.03.2024 and the subsequent set of circumstances are counterblast for which this case has been registered and the same is for circumventing the process of the proceedings in a case under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code.

Be that as it may, since the police authorities have already acted on the representation made by the petitioner, the police authorities would take the investigation of the case to its logical conclusion. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 16730 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report without annexure be handed over to the learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
