1. The petitioners have prayed for anticipatory bail. The petitioners are standing on the same footing as Kamlesh Singh @ Kamalesh Kumar Singh whose prayer for anticipatory bail was rejected by the Coordinate Bench in C.R.M. (A) 5053 of 2022 on 7th November, 2022 after considering the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C.

2. Apparently, the petitioners are involved in the racket where money was demanded from the victim for the purpose of enhancing the marks of the victim obtained in the SSC examination. The victim was thereafter abducted and ransom demanded. The statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. implicating various persons which include the present petitioners.

3. The same consideration and application of one of the co-accused was rejected by a Coordinate Bench on 7th November, 2022.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
