Ms. Munmun Tewary Mr. Sanatan Panja ..for the State Mr. Anil Kumar Gupta ..for UGC By the order impugned dated March 19, 2019 the Vice Chancellor of Burdwan University declined the prayer of the petitioner to issue a certificate in terms of a notification dated July 11, 2016 issued by the University Grants Commission.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the university that during pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner has made a representation before the university to reconsider the issue. Accordingly, the university has revisited the issue though no formal order has yet been issued.

In that view of the matter, I do not find any justification to keep this writ petition pending. The university shall issue the necessary order as indicated above within a period of two weeks from date. Accordingly, WPA 14855 of 2019 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
