Versus

The State of West Bengal & Ors.

Mr. Goutam Malik.

...For the petitioner.

Mrs. Chama Mukherjee, Mr. Aniruddha Mohanta.

...For the State.

1. The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction on the part of Gangajalghati Police Station, Bankura in tracing out his missing daughter.

2. The police have filed a report dated 26th July, 2022 in the form of instructions addressed to the State Advocate, which is taken on record.

3. It appears therefrom that the missing daughter is a major, who had appeared before the Police Station and had produced the documents regarding her age. It further appears therefrom that she has stated before the police that she does not wish to remain in the custody of the petitioner.

4. In that view of the matter, this Court finds no inaction on the part of the police.

5. With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

6. There will be no order as to costs.

7. All parties are directed to act on a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
