The petitioner is aggrieved by non-consideration of his application for grant of permit in respect of Contract Carriage (Auto Rickshaw) for the route 237- Baruipara to Furfura.

Mr. Samanta, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner applied for permit in respect of Auto Rickshaw, which intends to ply on route No.237-Baruipara to Furfura and deposited requisite fees therefor on July 11, 2025 but such application has not yet been considered and disposed of by the respondent no.2 i.e. the Regional Transport Authority, Hooghly. Mr. Sen, learned advocate represents the respondent State Authorities.

Having regard to the nature of grievance raised by the writ petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.2 i.e. the Regional Transport

Authority, Hooghly to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application being (Annexure P/1 at pages 10 to 12 of the writ petition), which has been submitted along with requisite fees, a copy of the receipt whereof appears at page 13 of the writ petition, within a period six weeks from the date of communication of this order, strictly in accordance with law.

A copy of the writ petition along with the annexures and a copy of this order shall be served upon the respondent no.2 for the purpose of easing the consideration of the petitioner's application, which has been appended to the writ petition, as aforesaid. With the above observations, WPA 15769 of 2025 stands disposed of.

There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied as expeditiously as possible. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
