Heard the learned Counsels appearing on behalf of the parties.
We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses and contemporaneous document show recovery of 30 bottles of phensedyl syrup from the possession of the petitioner.
In view of the aforesaid materials on record and statutory restrictions under Section 37 of the N. D. P. S. Act, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioners is rejected.
In view of the protracted period of detention suffered by the petitioner, we direct the trial court to proceed with the trial with utmost expedition and conclude the same at an early date
preferably within one year from the next date fixed before it without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
