In spite of service, none appears on behalf of the private respondent no.12.

The petitioner is alleging that the respondent no.12 has encroached upon the public land which belongs to the Paschim Medinipur Zilla Parishad. The petitioner is praying removal of the said encroachment.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that after filing of the writ petition, the Assistant Engineer, Keleghai Bridge Highway Sub-Division, P.W. (Roads) Directorate, the respondent no. 9 herein by a letter dated July 21, 2025 has requested the Block Land & Land Reforms Officer, Debra, Paschim Midnapore, the respondent no. 10 herein to demarcate the alleged encroached area.

The respondent no. 10 is directed to carry out such demarcation expeditiously and in the event by such exercise any encroachment in the public land is detected, the concerned authority shall take appropriate steps for removal of the same in accordance with law.

WPA 15853 of 2025 is thus disposed of without any order as to costs.
