Petitioner has approached this Court being 21.04.2025 Court No. 35 Item No.212 Rakib aggrieved by inaction of the police authorities in respect of information furnished on 18.05.2024, the said information was sent by speed post. The grievance of the petitioner was that his old aged mother was taken away by the private respondents and her fixed deposits and family pension are misappropriated. After some time his mother returned back in a deteriorated heath condition. Petitioner complains that he was subjected to assault by the investigating officer and as such has physically and financially suffered because of the act and action of the police authorities as well as the private respondents who are his relations.

Be that as it may report submitted by the State reflects that the police authorities have only drawn up M.P. Case no. 979/2022 (at the instance of the petitioner) and Tamluk PS NCR no. 808/23 dated 01.03.2023 (at the instance of the mother of the petitioner).

Having regard to the nature of the case which has been registered by the police authorities, I am of the view

that the same is only restricted to maintenance of breach of the peace and tranquility.

Having considered the same, I am of the opinion that the petitioner's information furnished to the police authorities lacks material to make out any cognizable offence. As such no interference is called for. Accordingly, WPA 16808 of 2024 is dismissed.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.
