Mr. Pintu Karar Mr. Akashdeep Mukherjee Ms. Sayani Mana ......for the petitioner Mr. Sirsanya Bandopadhyay Mr. Arka Kumar Nag ......for the State Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that pursuant to the direction passed by this Court on yesterday, i.e., on 05.07.23, an FIR was registered on the complaint of the petitioner. In fact, police escort was given so that the petitioner could go home.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State submits as follows. Not only an FIR was being registered, but eight witnesses have already been examined in this case. Upon direction passed by this Court, necessary police protection was given to the petitioner so that he could go home.
As the prime grievances of the petitioner have already been redressed, there is no need to pass any further order in this case.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of.
However, the respondent police authorities shall keep vigil and maintain peace at the locale.
Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
