The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that Namkhana Police Station has not taken any steps with regard to the complaint against the private respondents in respect of a land.

Admittedly, the land is in possession of the private respondent namely Swapna Maity, who is the sister of the writ petitioner.

The petitioner claims that the land in question has been gifted to him by their father.

The dispute is purely civil in nature and the parties may address such dispute before an appropriate civil forum.

Since the aforesaid private respondent is in possession of the property in question, Namkhana Police Station shall ensure that she is not disturbed in any way. The parties shall maintain peace and tranquility in the area.

Namkhana Police Station shall keep a strict vigil thereat and ensure that there is no breach of peace in the area.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

The report of the OC Namkhana Police Station, Sundarban Police District dated 10.08.2022 is taken on record.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
