The facts of this case have already been recorded in the order dated July 10, 2024, passed in this writ petition, and therefore, need not be reiterated here. On January 2, 2025, this Court directed the Registrar General to file a report indicating whether respondent no. 13 has deposited the money as per the order dated July 10, 2024.

From the report submitted by the Registrar General, it appears that an amount of Rs. 5,56,594/- was deposited on July 19, 2024, and the same has been invested with Canara Bank, Hare Street Branch.

In light of the above, there is no justification for keeping this writ petition pending. Accordingly, I dispose of this writ petition with the following orders:

The Registrar General shall remit the amount, lying with the aforesaid bank account, to the petitioner's account within one month from the date of this order.

Since the petitioner's claim against respondent no. 13 will be fully satisfied by this payment, the petitioner shall have no further claims against respondent no. 13. However, if respondent no.13 finds that an excess amount has been paid to the petitioner, he shall be at liberty to take appropriate legal steps.

Accordingly, WPA 16823 of 2024 is disposed of. Urgent certified website copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
