Heard learned counsels for the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for about 10 months. He has been falsely implicated solely on the basis of statement of co accused. He prays for bail.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer. I have considered the material on record. Allegation against the petitioner is extremely serious in nature. Moreover, there are 21 criminal antecedents to the credit of the petitioner. The case is fixed for consideration of charge. Considering the gravity of the offence and conduct of the petitioner, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage. The application for bail is thus disposed of. Case diary be returned.
