25.07.2022 sdas rejected C.R.M.(NDPS) No. 829 of 2022 In Re:- An application for bail under Section 439 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in connection with Kaliachak Police Station Case No. 111 of 2021 dated 31.01.2021 under Sections 22(c )/29 of the NDPS Act.

And In Re : Safikul Islam @ Sofi & Ors. .... petitioners Mr. Mazahar Hossain Chowdhury Ms. Mobashshara Alam ....for the petitioners Mr. Antarikhya Basu ...... for the State Having considered the materials on record disclosing prima facie involvement of the petitioners in the alleged possession of narcotic substance which is above commercial quantity i.e. 2000 pieces of Yaba Tablets weighing about 206 grams and in view of statutory restrictions under Section 37 of the N.D.P.S. Act, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.

The application for bail is, thus, rejected.
