Heard learned counsels for the parties.

The petitioners primarily pray for compliance of the order passed by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court on 19th February, 2015 in WP 33005 (W) of 2014. The relevant portion of the said order is set out:

"In view of the prayer made by the petitioner, there is no point in keeping this writ petition pending and the same is disposed of by directing the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer, Rajarhat, North 24 Parganas, i.e. the respondent No.5 herein, to consider and dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on December 5, 2014. The said respondent is directed to cause a physical verification of the plot through his officials and in case he finds that the said plot requires a demarcation, he will also cause the same to be done. The entire exercise is to be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

For effecting the said purpose, the respondent No.5 will be at liberty to hear the representative of the petitioner or any other person as he may think it necessary."

It is most unfortunate that an order passed by this Court way back in 2015 has not been complied with by the State authorities till date.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 5th respondent to comply with the order passed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in WP 33005 (W) of 2014 within two months from the date of communication of this order.

The Officer-in-Charge of Netaji Subhas Bose Airport police station, being the 6th respondent herein is directed to render all necessary assistance to the 5th respondent in complying with the said order.

With the above observations and directions this writ petition being WPA 16341 of 2022 is disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the petition are deemed not to be admitted. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
