The petitioner's payment on account of hire charges of his vehicle is due and payable to the tune of Rs.2,30,121/-. Part payment was made to him but the aforesaid balance amount is outstanding. The petitioner prays for releasing the balance payment.

After hearing the parties, I dispose of the writ petition by directing the District Inspector of Schools (SE), South 24 Parganas who hired the petitioner's vehicle to take steps for releasing the balance payment of the petitioner without any further delay but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

It will be open for the District Inspector of Schools to seek necessary documents from the petitioner in respect of the subject claim. He shall also consider the prayer of the petitioner for paying interest on account of delayed payment of his legitimate dues.
