The allegation is under Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The victim girl is all of seven years old. She has recorded her statement under Section 164 Cr.P.C. wherein she has vividly narrated the alleged incident, which is, to say the least, heinous. The statement of the victim girl is in consonance with the first information report lodged.

In view of the nature of the alleged crime, we are not inclined to entertain the petitioner's prayer for bail, at this stage, also keeping in mind that the vulnerable witnesses are yet to be examined.

The prayer for bail is, accordingly, rejected. CRM (DB) 2084 of 2024 is dismissed.
