Counsel for the petitioner submits that FIR No. 40 of 2021 dated 01.04.2021 was registered under Sections 419/420/406 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 against the private respondents, pursuant to a direction under Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 issued by the ACJM, Chandannagar, Hooghly.

It appears from the records, that the investigation would require the police to go out of the State of West Bengal. The C. I. D., West Bengal is better equipped to deal with investigation that is likely to spread over outside the State of West Bengal. In that view of the matter, this Court directs the transfer of investigation from the Singur Police Station to the C. I. D., West Bengal.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
