Versus

The State of West Bengal & Ors.

Md. Sabir Ahmed, Md. Abdus Rakis ...for the Petitioner.

Mr. Arnab Sinha, Mr. Amartya Basu ...for the Respondent No.4.

The petitioner and the respondent No.4 are directed to approach the Officer-in-Charge, Lake Town Police Station for redressal of the disputes which primarily arose out of feeding of stray dogs. The petitioner relies on a decision of the Hon'ble Apex Court in this regard.

It appears to the Court that the disputes are as follows:- (a) Feeding of stray dogs within the precincts of the building.

(b) Restraining the petitioner from carrying fish and meat in the lift.

(c) Placement of CCTV camera by the respondent No.4, which allegedly captures the activities inside the flat of the petitioner, thereby invading upon her privacy.

The police authorities in consultation with the South Dum Dum Municipality will take necessary steps with regard to the feeding of stray dogs in the locality in a particular earmarked area. The other issues with regard to use of the lift and placement of the CCTV camera shall be resolved with the interference by the police. The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
