Counsel for the petitioner submits that in essence his complaint against the private respondents before the Panchayat Authority for effecting construction on Sali land is being considered. In so far as the grievance of the petitioner against the police in respect of his complaint, it is submitted that he may not want to proceed any further.

Gurap Police Station, Hooghly shall, however, ensure that there is absolutely no breach of peace in the area and shall maintain a strict vigil thereat. With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

A copy of the order dated 16th September, 2022 passed in W.P.A. No. 17174 of 2022 by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court against the Panchayat Authority is kept with the record.

There will be no order as to costs.
