With regard to the allegation that the police authorities have not taken any steps pursuant to the compliant lodged before the All Women Jhargram Police Station dated August 30, 2020, it appears to the court that such allegation is not correct. On the basis of such allegation, All Women Jhargram Police Station Case No. 95 of 2020 under Sections 341/509/506 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code was registered. The investigation is in progress. The police authorities are directed to complete the investigation in a free, fair and proper manner. With regard to the contention of the petitioner that the police authorities are not aiding the petitioner and her mother to feed the stray dogs, this court is of the view that as there are other houses and buildings in the locality, it would be prudent to

direct the petitioner to approach the local municipal authorities.

The Officer-in-Charge, All Women Jhargram Police Station shall coordinate between the petitioner, the people in the locality and the municipal authorities in order to demarcate an area in the locality in order to feed the dogs and fix the timings when the stray dogs are to be fed.

The police will keep a vigil to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
