The writ application has been preferred praying for expeditious disposal of the Certificate Case initiated against the respondent no. 5, arising out of Gratuity Case No. G- 27 of 2019.

On hearing the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of the documents annexed to the writ application, it appears that Controlling Authority passed an order on 3.1.2022. A notice to the private respondent was sent on the same date for payment of gratuity as no payment was made. The certificate proceedings

was initiated vide a letter dated 6.4.2023.

It appears that since then there is no development in the certificate proceedings.

On hearing the parties and considering the materials on record, the writ application is disposed of with the direction that the Certificate Officer, Howrah shall make all endeavour to dispose of the certificate proceedings within 60 days from the date of this order in accordance with law.

Let a copy of this order be sent to the District Magistrate and Collector, Howrah who shall supervise and ensure that the certificate proceedings is disposed of within the time frame in accordance with law as directed.

WPA 16023 of 2025 stands disposed of.

Parties are at liberty to communicate the server copy of this order.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned counsel for the parties on usual undertakings.
