Nobody appears on behalf of either of the parties on call.

By the present application filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure , 1973, the petitioners sought for quashing of the proceeding of GR Case No. 948 of 2016 arising out of Shakespeare P.S. Case No. 137 dated 3rd May, 2016 under Sections 120B/406/420 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 pending before the Court of learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate at Calcutta.

The instant case is pending since 2016. In spite of pendency of this case nobody turn up to represent the petitioners and several opportunity was given to them. No accommodation sought for. It indicates that the petitioners are no more interested in the instant case.

Accordingly, CRR 2347 of 2016 is, thus, dismissed for default. However, no order as to costs. Consequently, CRAN 4 of 2017 (Old No.2386 of 2017) is also disposed of .

Interim order, if any, stand vacated.

Let a copy of this order be communicated to the learned Court below for information and taking necessary steps in accordance with law.

Urgent xerox certified copy of this order, if applied for , be given to the learned advocate for the parties on usual undertakings.
