Since the innocuous prayer of the petitioners is for expeditious disposal of GR Case No.5220 of 2016 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, 2nd Court, Baruipur, South 24 Parganas the matter may be disposed of without service of notice upon the opposite party.

The opposite party shall not be prejudiced by an order directing expeditious disposal of the case. It appears that charge sheet was submitted on 22nd February, 2017 and charge was framed on 20th October, 2022. No witness has been examined till date. Since the matter is pending for quite some time, the learned Trial Court is directed to dispose of the case within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, in accordance with law.

The revisional application being CRR 2716 of 2024 is disposed of.

Urgent certified website copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of requisite formalities.
