Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing the appropriate authorities no steps have been taken. Petitioner's main grievance is that some obscene materials have been circulated involving her and to that effect in spite of repeated informations no steps have been taken.

State has submitted a report. Report reflects that the Officer-in-Charge, Women Police Station called the petitioner but she did not report to the police authorities. However, the police authorities have been diligent in recording statements from different individuals and have arrived at their own opinion, for which they are not in a position to establish that a cognizable offence has been made out for registration of the case.

In view of the aforesaid, if the petitioner is aggrieved by act and action of the police authorities, petitioner would approach the jurisdictional Court under

the relevant provisions of law.

The jurisdictional Magistrate would in such circumstances after receipt of any application from the petitioner assess and ascertain regarding the genuinity of the accusations and thereafter pass necessary directions as he deems fit and proper. With the aforesaid observations WPA 15982 of 2025 is disposed of.

Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
