Indrani Panja, who alleged unauthorised construction at the behest of the writ petitioner, a single Bench of this Court passed a demolition order in respect of a building at 49/1, Mahesh Paul Lane, Howrah.

The demolition order was challenged by the petitioner by filing MAT 1399 of 2024.

The learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that the Corporation has already demolished the structure from the second to the fifth floor, leaving only the ground and first floors intact. Through this writ petition, the petitioner seeks the Corporation's approval for regularisation of the remaining portions of the building.

However, I am not inclined to entertain this writ petition due to the pendency of MAT 1399 of 2024, as this could result in conflicting orders.

In light of this, WPA 16957 of 2024 is dismissed.

This dismissal does not preclude the petitioner from seeking relief for regularisation before the Division Bench hearing MAT 1399 of 2024.
