The petitioners challenge the order of the District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas dated April 13, 2024 under Section 14 of the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 filed by the Bank of Baroda.

It appears therefrom that the amount due as mentioned by the bank is approximately rupees seventeen lakh and odd, but the order passed by the District Magistrate mentions the figure as more than rupees two crore.

Learned counsel representing the bank asserts that the figure indicated in the impugned order by the District Magistrate is incorrect.

In view of the above, the order passed by the District Magistrate, North 24 Parganas cannot be sustained and the same is, accordingly, set aside. 5.
The District Magistrate shall take necessary corrective steps in the matter in accordance with law at the earliest.

Instructions forwarded by the Senior Branch
Manager of Bank of Baroda dated January 20, 2025 be taken on record.

The writ petition is disposed of.
