The petitioner was an Assistant Teacher of a Higher Secondary School, on superannuation he has retired from his said service on October 31, 2018.

The alleged delay in disbursement of the retiral benefits of the petitioner has been caused owing to a dispute being raised by the authority regarding exercise of option by the petitioner to switch over from CPF Scheme to GPF scheme.

The said dispute was resolved during the pendency of the writ petition, in consequence thereof, the Pension Payment Order has been issued to the petitioner today i.e., on September 04, 2023. The photocopy of the Pension Payment Order is taken on record.

In view of such development, the petitioner shall be getting the pensionary benefits. He is also entitled to arrear pension with effect from the date

following the date of his retirement with interest @ 8% per annum thereon till the date of payment, which the concerned authority shall disburse within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

W.P.A. 16076 of 2023 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
